Attention all geeks, gamers, and lolitas; fanboys and fangirls of every genre,
We are proud to present the Anime Evolution 2010 YouTube Commercial Contest!
Just like last year, we are holding a contest to see who can make the best video for promoting Anime Evolution on YouTube. Please make sure that your video is appropriate for all ages and follows the YouTube community guidelines (http://www.youtube.com/t/community_guidelines). Also, please don’t do anything dangerous or use copyrighted material. You may use music released under the created commons license, but only if the license allows for use for commercial purposes (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/). Please keep your video to no longer than 2min 30secs.
This year, a theme in our advertisements is the phrase “You’re Invited!”. You are not required to use this in your video, but it is highly encouraged.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Can I contact a Guest/Former Guest/Voice Actor/Industry Member and get their assistance with my video submission?
A: We ask that entrants not contact listed guests, former guests, or other members of the industry for assistance with your submissions. This could be seen as unwarranted and also could effect Anime Evolution’s abilities to negotiate with them. However, this does not apply to friends or family within your regular social circle.
Q: I would like to perform _____________ stunt in my video, can I do this?
A: Our number one concern with stunts is safety. If you want to include a stunt in your video, you must understand and agree to accept all liability for any accidents that may occur. For any stunt performed, it must be done with any and all appropriate safety procedures and in a controlled environment. You must also have all proper permissions from any involved parties (such as the filming location). In the event that your submission is considered to contain unreasonable or dangerous content, we will consult with the person or group who submitted it. If, after discussing the specifics of the video we do not feel a proper consideration for safety was maintained, the video will be disqualified.
Q: Does the submission have to be live action? Can I animate a video?
A: You do not have to submit a live action video. Animated videos will be accepted and judged on the same level as live action videos. Please note that you still may not use content that you do not have the rights to (for example: your favourite anime)
Q: Can I make an audio only commercial, with no video content?
A: No. As cool as radio ads are, this is a contest aimed at making video commercials for youtube. However, if you want to make a radio commercial, if we like it, we may post it on our main webpage with credit and a link to your profile.
Q: Can I have people dress up and act as characters from __________ anime/manga?
A: People may dress up like a character, but may not be referenced AS that character. An exception to this is if you own the intellectual property of that character design (for example: You created the character yourself, or purchased it from the creator).
