Panel Submissions
Event submissions is now closed for 2010. Thank you for your submissions and we look forward to having you at the convention.
General Rules for Event Hosts
- Hosts are not allowed to sell merchandise during the panel. Free prizes, samples, and giveaways are allowed after the prizes have been approved by the panel coordinator.
- Make sure that your event is age and content appropriate (i.e. no racist comments or vulgar language). If the panel/event is intended for adults only, please indicate this on the form.
- Panels and events have a maximum time of 75 minutes for presentation and 10-15 minutes for set-up. Additional time for presentation may be granted, but must be prearranged with the Programming staff. If you require additional time for set-up, this may be indicated on the form.
- Please arrive 15 minutes before your event to set-up. If changes need to be made, please contact the Programming staff you’re working with, prior to July 15, 2010.
- Anime Evolution can provide certain audio/visual equipment such as microphones, projectors, DVD players, adaptors, and overhead projectors if needed. Any equipment requirements should be listed on your form. Event hosts are to provide all other supplies and materials needed to run their event.
- All event hosts/presenters must be 18 years or older.
- All event hosts must demonstrate that they have sufficient knowledge of the topic they are presenting. Please send in any presentation material such as PowerPoint slides, or at least a presentation outline in advance to Event Submissions.
- If you are hosting only one event that is 45 minutes or less in length, you will need to buy a pass to Anime Evolution 2010 for the day you are hosting the event. You will be charged the Early Bird Tier 1 price and will be notified on how to register for this rate. If you are hosting more than one event or a longer event, you will be given a complimentary panelist badge. This will be determined for each person seperately and not shared for events with multiple hosts.
- Events can be run by a maximum of 3 hosts. The names of each host must be listed on the event form.
- While you are welcome to request your panel’s preferred date and time, we cannot guarantee those times. If you are unable to make the date and time scheduled for you, please notify us know as soon as possible, (before July 15th, 2010).
- If you do not show up for your event without prior notification before the event or without just cause (family emergency, accident on the way to the convention, etc.) you may not be eligible to participate as a host in future Anime Evolution Conventions.
